The 2012 Infiniti Emerg-E Concept is this company's attempt to reach an entirely new level. The vehicle itself is one of the highest technologically advanced prototypes ever conceived by a manufacturer.
Performance
Right off the bat you notice the Emerg-E is powered with twin electric motors that produce 402 HP and a fast 0-60 in only 4 seconds and 0 to 130 MPH in less than 30 seconds.
The idea behind this conceptual speedster is Infiniti's desire to produce low carbon high speed cars that will gain them access to a new market.

The interior is almost space age with compact individual areas and a wrap around dash surrounding the driver with the impression they are in a cockpit. The body itself appears to be futuristic in design with extremely mean contours and lines that are only seen in science fiction.
The grill is large and reminiscent of a monstrous mouth capable of devouring anything in its path. The beauty of the Emerg-E is that you would never guess it is an electric vehicle. It looks exactly like a race car that would not be friendly to the environment yet the opposite is true.
Green Friendly
The CO2 output is just over 50 g/km when in dual use of the electric and combustion engines, making this a huge leap forward for Infiniti and others wishing to design electric sports cars that deliver power and phenomenal performance.
This extremely light vehicle will become a favorite when it reaches the production stage for those who can afford it. The 2012 Infiniti Emerg-E Concept car could possibly be the foundation for a new direction in automotive technology.

Concept Cars

A concept car is a prototype car or a car design that has yet implemented as a mass production model. It is often crafted with the latest styling and/or technology. They are commonly displayed at motor shows to elicit public reaction to new designs. Think of it this way, you wouldn’t want to invest in something that people may not like. But if you want to produce an innovative idea, you will need reassurance that it will sell.
For the sake of practicality, numerous changes are made into a design before it is a production vehicle.

2010 Audi E-tron Spyder Concept

Audi unveiled its E-tron Spyder concept at the 2010 Paris motor show.
The Audi E-tron Spyder concept is a two-seater, open top, hybrid sports car.
The car is powered by both a 3 liter V6 TDI in the rear axle and two electric motors (64kW) for the front axle.

The Audi E-tron concept design is the evolution of the existing Audi design language and at the same time presents the elements which hint towards future Audi cars. The car also borrows some design elements from the sportiest Audi vehicle, the R8.
The Audi design team managed to build a light weight car (1,450Kgs) with a perfect front to rear weight ratio of 50:50, giving it excellent handling capabilities. Also, the intelligent distribution of power to the front wheels help improve the dynamic handling of the vehicle. This along with the cars design ensures high degree of precision while cornering at high speeds.
Performance
Audi e-tron concept is equipped with a 3 liter, six cylinder TDI engine breathes through twin turbochargers and produces 300hp. The diesel engine pumps out a massive amount of torque of 479 ft lbs.
The TDI engine powers the rear wheels. In a smart innovation, apart from the TDI engine, the front wheels are driven by two electric motors.
Each of these electric motors produces 88 hp and a combined torque of 259 ft lbs. The E-tron Spyder combines the torque produced by diesel and electric motors during acceleration through a process called 'boosting', resulting in a massive supercar type performance.
Range
The e-tron can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 4.4 seconds and has an electronically limited top speed of 155 mph. E-tron is not just a fantastic performance car, but also a highly fuel efficient car with extremely low emission levels.
The E-tron Spyder returns a mileage of 107 mpg on an average. The car can also drive purely on electric motor with a range of up to 31 miles and a top speed of 37 mph which is sufficient for easy driving.
There has been no official word about when we can expect E-tron Spyder to hit the production lines. However, Audi e-tron Spyder concept does showcase what we can expect from hybrid technology from Audi.
