Spyker

Doing favors for other people can make one feel good. It is a feeling we can’t really explain except that it is certainly a positive one. What more if you had done a favor for a royalty, for a queen for example. Spyker, a car manufacturing company had done this once. This was in 1898 when the company was still on their first steps in attaining their goals. Jacobus and HEndrik-Jan Spijker were the founders of the Spyker Cars. After producing their first Benz-engine motorcar, which gave them recognition for their craftsmanship, they built the Golden Carriage that is still in use today. They manufactured it for the Dutch Queen, Wilhelmina.
Up to the present, Sypker has continued in building different designs of luxury cars. The latest is the C8 Aileron 2009, which not only brags of its competitive design features but also of its high performance engines. Other models are C8 Spyder SWB and C8 Laviolette LWB.

2011 Spyker C8 Aileron

The 2011 Spyker C8 Aileron was initially launched as a “concept vehicle” during the 2009 Geneva Motor Show. The C8 Aileron was among the few European cars built months before its launch in May 2009. The car is powered by two transmission types: The “6-Speed Getrag” manual gearbox and “ZF 6 Speed” automatic gearbox. The 6-Speed Getrag comprises of ratios matched with the engine output while the ZF 6 Speed has standardized paddle shifters attached behind the steering wheel for automatic transmission.
As of February 2011, the latest C8 Aileron cars are available in the market after a series of delays caused hundreds of Spyker fans to turn down the company’s formal launch. According to Spyker Cars, the 2011 Spyker C8 Aileron will be officially launched during the 2011 Geneva Motor Show in Switzerland.
Since 2000, Spyker Cars continues to gain regard in manufacturing premium sports cars. In 2008, the company marked their 8th year in the business by presenting a prototype of the C8 Aileron in the Geneva Motor Show. The unveiling of the C8 Aileron’s prototype was spearheaded by Victor Muller, Founder and CEO of Spyker Cars.

SSC Aero

Shelby American, Inc., formed by Carroll Shelby, is one of the most successful car manufacturing companies in the world. That is why it is not impossible for them to come up with record-breaking models. In 2007, Guinness World Records certified that a new supercar has made a new record of being the fastest production car in the world. This is the Shelby SuperCar Ultimate Aero, with a recorded speed of 256 mph (411.99 km/h).
No pain, no gain. It really took time before SSC came up with their Ultimate Aero. It took them seven years of hard work until they successfully manufactured a supercar that, according to them, would set standards for supercars of today. It wouldn’t be the world’s most powerful production car without its remarkable performance. With its twin turbo V-8 engine, it is capable of producing 1,183 horsepower and 1094 ft.-lbs. of torque. Because of that, no other cars can perform better than SSC Aero can.

2012 SSC Tuatara

2012 awaits the entry of the newest offering from Shelby Super Cars (SSC), the 2012 SSC Tuatara. This car is aimed to unseating the Bugatti Veyron SS as the fastest car in the world. Jerod Shelby, founder and CEO of SSC, unveiled the Tuatara in the presence of a few people from the industry. Jerod Shelby is not related to Carroll Shelby, the legend behind all those muscle cars. The name of this supercar is derived from the Maori language that describes a resident reptile from New Zealand, Tuatara, means “peaks at the back.
Specifications

Shelby and his team of 16 engineers have put their skills together to produce a high performance production vehicle in the SSC Tuatara by highlighting this rear wheel drive, 1,350 horsepower speedster. SSC produced the Ultimate Aero that was able to topple the record established by the Bugatti Veyron. In 2007, the Ultimate Aero TT had a run of 256 mph on a four mile stretch of a Texas carriageway. The Volkswagen owned Bugatti, not to be denied, came back with the Veyron SS (Super Sport) and clocked a record 267 mph.
With the Tuatara, Shelby SuperCars intends to reclaim that distinction of being the fastest car in the world, by aiming for a record setting 275 mph.
Performance
As for the engine, Jerod Shelby’s team of engineers has come up with a rear wheel drive, quad cam (four valves per cylinder OHC), twin turbo V8 engine. This 7 Liter engine produces 1350 HP and revs up to 9000 rpm.
Braking is aided by traction control, ABS with servo assistance, and the use of carbon ceramic brakes by Brembo. It comes in at 2646 lbs (1200 kgs) curb weight, which puts it at 1407 lbs(638 kgs) lighter than the Veyron. Little, if any, change has been done on the suspension in which SSC keeps the coil over setup intact along with the triple plate carbon clutch mechanism.
Expectations are high on this new SSC Tuatara, with all those horses; zero to sixty mph should come in under 2.8 seconds. It has been claimed that its top speed will be at 275 mph, hang on to your seats for the final results.
Exterior
The body design of the Tuatara was rendered by Jason Castriota, an Italian-American designer who has been instrumental in creating some of the best looking cars in the world. Among his creations include the best in the industry, Bertone, Ferrari, Rolls Royce, and Pininfarina. Castriota was unsure whether he wanted to take on the challenge presented to him by Jerod Shelby in designing this latest from SSC.
When he did take up the challenge, the result has become the ideal in combining form and function. The black teardrop shaped canopy splashed amid the white body provides a contrast in style and power. The classic shape allows it for a minimum of drag. Dihedral stabilizers (wings) add to the Tuatara’s performance and look. The winglets located in the rear not only improve aerodynamics, but also keeps the car together as it speeds up to 200 miles per hour.
Body and chassis are made of carbon fiber, except for those impact areas in the front and rear of the Tuatara. It also has oval cut outs in varying sizes that help release heat produced by the engine through the body. The Tuatara features an F-1 looking exhaust that functions as a diffuser in the rear. When looking down at this low slung supercar, the Tuatara can seem intimidating.
Interior
No one really knows what to expect what the interior of the Tuatara will look like. The total interior design has not been completed. It will have the necessary features in driving a two seater, such as the seatbelts and auto air-conditioner.
Speculation has it that the inside of the Tuatara will live up to its reputation in addition to providing easy viewing and access LCD central displays.
The Competition
There is little competition in this area of supercars. The SSC Tuatara is expected to be priced at $970,000, while the Bugatti Veyron SS rings the bell at $2.4 million. If you have extra to spend, the other potential alternative is the Koenigsegg Agera, $1.5 million.
Whichever way you go, you have an international choice at your disposal; the SSC Tuatara from the USA, Bugatti Veyron SS from Germany, and the Swedish Koenigsegg Agera. Whether you’re looking for a showroom vehicle or one for the racetrack, chances are the Tuatara will push its competitors once again to the limits, watch for this fastest evolving DNA creation from SSC.

Wiesmann

Geckos are reptiles that are sized small to average. They are known for their unique vocalizations that they use in order to communicate with other geckos. But this is not the trait that the Wiesmann brothers considered in coming up with the concept of making use of a gecko as a logo for their car company. Martin, graduate engineer, and Friedhelm Wiesmann, bachelor of commerce, founded the automobile company in Germany, on 1985. They chose a gecko as their logo because according to them, Wiesmann cars stick to the road like geckos to a wall.
Just like their concept of a gecko, the company has also stayed in the business for years now. And this wouldn’t be possible without their efforts in producing quality cars. The company is known for making cars that have a very remarkable and classy exterior. That is why they are thinking of exporting vehicles to USA by 2010. This will take them to the next level of becoming an internationally acclaimed car manufacturing company.

2011 Wiesmann GT MF5

The Wiesmann GT MF5is no doubt a trendsetter in the world of sports cars, with its slick and clever design, who would ever think that this coupe is geared with a 4.4 liter V8 Twinscroll turbo with 555HP and 680 Nm Torque? Unbelievably, this car can sprint from 0 to 100 in a stunning 3.9 seconds.
The truth behind its speed, GT MF5 has an extreme ratio when it comes to power over weight, with its 2.5 kg/HP helps in hitting this coupe’s speed of up to 311 km/h, not to mention its lightweight feature of only 3097 lbs. gives a more advantage on the road.
Exterior
It’s a creation made to perfection, it’s just what Wiesmann thought about after making the GT MF5, a sports car that has everything, a sheltered aluminum monocoque and a composite body panel, its hybrid engine and is exceptionally lightweight for a pure superb driving experience.
Many can attest to its BMW sourced five-liter V10 powered engine, supported by a nineteen inch wheels in all four corners and how about its comfortable fitted carbon fiber seats that gives a subtle feeling of elegance and comfort. Making it more conventional, it added a seven-speed sequential gearbox with a 245/40ZR19 tires upfront and a 275/30ZR19s watching from the back.

You will surely fall in love with the GT MF5, where no other sports car comes close to its dynamic and astonishing design that sets the mood for a more amplified and for a feel of a three-dimensional driving satisfaction.

McLaren

Being a spinoff of the producer of cars that heat up the Formula 1 racetracks, the McLaren Automative, commonly termed as simply McLaren, is strongly acclaimed to be one of the best companies that produce high performance cars. The company was brought into being in 1989 by Ron Dennis in the large town of Woking in Surrey, United Kingdom. From then on, the company has been modeling world renowned sports cars taking after the Formula One technology.
The McLaren F1 is the company’s pilot car created in 1992. It is a coupe with three seats, the driver situated in the middle. Gordon Murray designed the car, while BMW built its engine, a 6,064 cc V12 unit that is capable of producing 627 bhp. This is then followed by the Maverick supersonic car in 1993, and the McLaren Mercedes MP4/98T in 1998. The former is taken as the first tandem Formula One car in the world, and was also designed by Murray.
Perhaps the most famous car ever produced by the McLaren Company is the one it made in partnership with Mercedes-Benz, the Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren. It was first shown in the Paris Motor Show on September 2004. It has a 626 bhp coming from its 5.5 Litre Superchraged V8 engine, and can accelerate to 60 mph in 3.8 seconds. Since it was accepted successfully, other versions followed, such as the Mercedes-Benz McLaren SLR 722 in 2006 and the Mercedes-Benz McLaren SLR Convertible in 2007.

Are you looking for a luxury car that comes with great speed, durability and exceptional running performance? If so, the2012 Wheelsandmore Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren 722 Epochal is the right car for you.
Since 650 horsepower did not suit customers who are in to a fast and furious driving experience, intensive modifications have been done to the SLR.
What's the SLR McLaren 722?
"Maximum powered vehicle", that's the most apt description for the latest SLR McLaren 722. This rare edition is combined with all the up-to-date and finest upgrades which allows it to run like no other. It's all thanks to the whole Wheelsandmore team who's responsible for all the modifications which make the SLR even better than ever.
The sports car originally came with a 650 horsepower and a torque of 820 Nm which was did not make many clients happy. However, the McLaren 722 is now pumped up to a higher level with a newly customized V8 engine that produces 727 hp and a torque of 701 lb-ft. How's that possible?
Well, it all comes down to the newly designed exhaust system that has sports catalysts, as well as flaps that can be engaged by remote control; which are all easily adapted greatly by the V8 engine's pulley and recently mapped ecu software.
However, these modifications require a specialized suspension for the model. Due to that, the Wheelsandmore team decided to contact KW, their coil specialists in order to have a new suspension built which features a rebound adjustable contraption, and better compression which is highly compatible with the McLaren Mercedes-Benz SLR 722.
Interior
What's more? The SLR 727 comes with a better steering wheel and all the passengers can have a comfortable ride with Nappa leather seats. With great style, comfort and optimal running functionality, the McLaren Mercedes-Benz 722 can be your best choice for a unique supercar that can give you the exceptional luxury ride you have always wanted.

Mercedes

Mercedes was a brand that began under the Daimler Motoren Gesellschaft in 1900. The very first Mercedes car was built by Wilhelm Maybach according to the specifications given by Emil Jellinek and was released in 1900, the Mercedes 35 hp which sported the then newly-designed engine called Daimler-Mercedes.
When the DMG merged with another company known as Benz and Cie, the name Mercedes was changed to what most people recognize today as the Mercedes-Benz, first coined in 1926. As of late, the Mercedes-Benz line of vehicles is composed of passenger cars, trucks, buses and vans. Notable models include the 260 D, the world’s first diesel production car, the SL73 AMG whose 7.3 V12 engine is the biggest ever put in a Mercedes-Benz, and of course, the Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren which has been conquering lists of fast cars since 2004. The latest unit is the SLS AMG, a luxury grand tourist produced in 2010 to replace the SLR McLaren. It was first shown in the Frankfurt Auto Show in 2009, and although production has just begun this year, the car is already booked for many ‘upcoming shows.’ It will be the car featured in the Gran Turismo 5, a PlayStation 3 racing game, and the safety car of the 2010 Formula One season.

Mercedes-Benz also relied on its Formula 1 racing history to influence the design of the 2011 Mercedes-Benz Silver Arrow Concept. The car is long and loaded with plenty of curves. It also adds pieces of current designs that help to identify the Mercedes-Benz line, such as the noticeable front grille.
The diagonal hubless roller track provides for steering in every direction, called omni-directional driving. The vehicle also features a Mag-Tech roof system that consists of a lightweight magnetic surface. The roof can be dropped to form a convertible or raised for a solid surface.">
Sci-Fi?
This vehicle blends utility and adventure. The car is easy to handle, while featuring an appearance straight out of sci-fi movies. The vehicle was made to commemorate Mercedes-Benz's 125th anniversary and is a testament to the innovation that the company provides.

With its sleek design, unique maneuvering abilities, futuristic features and a style that is certain to attract the attention of anyone nearby, the 2011 Mercedes-Benz Silver Arrow Concept would be an ideal vehicle to own.

Morgan

Morgan Motor Company, or simply Morgan, is a British car manufacturing company founded by Henry Frederick Stanley Morgan in 1910 in Malvern Link, an area in the Malvern Hills district in Worcestershire, England. Interestingly, all its cars are assembled manually. In 2007, Morgan has listed 540 cars in production.
The early cars of the company were three-wheelers that were either two-seat or four-seat. The first design was released in 1909, a single-seat three-wheeled runabout meant for Morgan’s personal use. Today, Morgan cars, which are more commonly referred to as “Moggies”, are characterized by an independent front suspension system. Perhaps the most recent Moggie project is the LIFE car (Lightweight Fuel Efficient Car), an electric vehicle powered by a fuel cell that stores electricity in highly advanced capacitors. It is a sports car that combines environmental awareness with impressive performance. According to the company, the LIFEcar will be legally available in America by 2011.

2012 Morgan Plus E

The 2012 Morgan Plus Eis a prototype roadster with an old school look with new school power and handling. This is an electric model so power is not what you would normally expect in a sports car.
Performance
It leaves most electric vehicles in the dust with a high torque of 280 lb-ft pushing the 94 HP motor to its limits.
The torque actually comes in at slightly above 29 foot pounds per HP allowing the Zytek and Radshape 5 speed manual to deliver peak performance. The motor itself is fairly common for general driving purposes.
Tweaks in the overall design have allowed this electric motor to function exceptionally well when it comes to reaching top speeds of 115 mph. This is accomplished with a control system and transmission that allows the vehicle to accelerate and shift at optimum rates thus keeping the engine and vehicle in the perfect ranges for motion and smoothness while shifting.
Exterior & Interior
The body itself has been modified for a more rounded appearance than the well known Plus 8 body, and adds a classic roadster look from the past. The classic yellow really stands out and gives the impression of the performance it delivers.
The interior is sleek and basic in design with a large classic non digital speedometer and tachometer gauges and chrome trim with smaller gauges for the necessities.
The exterior is equipped with visible chrome on the hinges, handles, knobs and triple wiper arms. The headlight rings and large grill really give the feel that this vehicle is from the 30's and not a concept car that is on its way to production if demand supports it.
Extremely innovative for an electric vehicle, the 2012 Morgan Plus E is a vehicle that has to be seen to be believed and will surely grab the attention of environmental enthusiasts with a need for speed.
