Rolls-Royce

Two heads are better than one. This saying just states that sometimes things are really easier to do if it is done by partners. Maybe that is why Batman has Robin and Beavis has Butthead. And partnerships aren’t always just for movies and cartoon series. As we all know, this is also much applicable to business. One great example is the Rolls-Royce Limited. Obviously, this business success was a result of a great partnership of engineers Charles Rolls and Henry Royce.
Everything started in a meeting over lunch at the Midland Hotel in Manchester on May 4, 1904, arranged by a guy named Henry Edmunds. Due to his effort, he made the two pioneers of the car manufacturing company to come up with an agreement that Rolls would exclusively sell as many cars as Royce could produce. During that time, Rolls was the owner of one of the first car companies. The company was responsible for the production of the Silver Ghost in 1907. The latest luxury cars manufactured by Roll-Royce are the Phantom and Ghost.

2012 Rolls-Royce Phantom Coupe Series II

The 2012 Rolls-Royce Phantom Coupe Series IIreveals new design features, even though the basic appearance of the vehicle has not changed through the years.
From its inception in 2003, the Phantom series has been built as an ultra-luxury vehicle and the 2012 version sees the introduction of advanced cutting edge technology, improved drivetrain performance, and the latest in connectivity to complement the luxury.
Exterior
The front of the car is where the most visible changes can be seen. The grille has been completely re-styled and the headlights now sport a rectangular appearance.
The lights themselves are full-LED clusters to ensure easy integration with modern light technology, including curve light capability where the beams are reflected in the direction of travel. This feature provides improved illumination when coming around corners.
The headlights are also adaptive, meaning the beam can change according to driving conditions. When traveling at lower speeds, the beam is dispersed over a wider angle to make it easier to spot pedestrians. The beam automatically extends and slightly favors the driver's side of the road at higher speeds.
Performance
The drivetrain on the 2012 Rolls-Royce Phantom Coupe Series II sees several enhancements. The car is now equipped with a new 8-speed, fully automatic transmission with rear differential.
This controls the V12, direct injection engine. The enhancements have led to a 10% reduction in fuel consumption and to reduced CO2 emissions.
Added Features Inside
The Phantom Coupe Series II has also had a revamp of the electronics. The SatNav system has been upgraded. It now can display 3D maps and surrounding topography. It also provides information on the local area, such as places of interest, local theaters and restaurants.
The SatNav, audio-visual and driver information displays appear on the 8.8" full color screen. The screen is also used to display images from the front, rear and top-mounted cameras. There are 8 pre-programmable buttons under the screen that can be used to give quick access to numerous options, like the phone book.

Saleen

In the car manufacturing industry, we often hear that leading companies are usually founded by engineers. In Saleen, Incorporated, it is a different case. In 1983, a racing driver named Steve Saleen established Saleen Autosport. Being a race driver and an enthusiast, just a year after their formation, they had already come up with their first creation, the Saleen Mustang. The group has been successful in producing high-quality cars and their racing versions.
Saleen, Inc. came up with numerous designs including the Mustang, Ford, and Sterling Editions. But the company’s success wouldn’t be that possible without the help of partner companies. Control-TEC LLC, Power-TEC Engineering LLC, and Arrow Racing Engines were the Saleen’s sister companies that have been with them hand in hand through the years. Each of them has different roles in their drive for success. The latest model produced by Saleen is the 2010 S281. It doesn’t only brag of its beautiful design but also of its high-power engine.

It is based on the current 2010 Ford Mustang. The 2010 Saleen 435S Mustang is a limited edition two-door coupe, modified car. It has a front engine, a 4600 cc displacement and is charged with 435 horsepower. With a 5-speed manual transmission, the 2010 Saleen 435S Mustang is a one of a kind vehicle. It weighs around 3401 lbs and is approximately 188.1 inches in length. This car is slightly lower than the Mustang GT because of its Saleen Racecraft suspension. The design provides precise handling and better traction.

Shelby

One can’t really succeed on something that he has no passion for. And sometimes, even if you do not have the means as long as you have the ways and the skills you need to reach your end, you will be successful. These words are so much applicable to the life and the humble beginnings of the owner of Shelby American, Inc. Carroll Shelby was a successful race car driver before he became the owner of a big car manufacturing company. His career as a racer soared in the 1950s but due to some health problems, he had to stop racing and start concentrating on other career, designing that is.
Because of his ambition and vision, he came up with Shelby Cobra, which is considered as one of the fastest road cars of all time. And because of his works, Carroll Shelby was put on the Automotive Hall of Fame. But that didn’t stop him from making amazing creations. In fact, Shelby is back with its newly improved Shelby Cobra. And as Carroll says, “Get-in and buckle-up, cause this is going to be one hell of a ride!"

2012 Shelby GT 50th Anniversary Edition

Shelby America is celebrating 50 years of style by producing 100 cars of 3 famous Mustang variants: the GTS, the GT350 and the GT500 (the Super Snake). Fifty models of each car will be decked in white and feature gold stripes, the other fifty will be black and feature gold stripes.
Since only 300 are being manufactured, the 50th Anniversary editions have become an instant collector's item and each represent a piece of automotive history.
Exterior & Interior
In addition to the gold stripes on the exterior, several other nods to the 50th anniversary are present in the interior of the cars. The color gold naturally represents the 50th anniversary and is used in the premium black leather stitching on the seats plus there is an embroidered anniversary logo present on the seat backs.
Along with the gold stripes, gold stitching and commemorative anniversary badge, each Shelby anniversary car comes with special wheels, car cover, unique VIN number, a special delivery ceremony, exclusive merchandise and a number of upgrades including 6-piston front brakes.
The interior isn't the only thing to get a style revamp, the base GTS and GT350 models both feature matte black wheels (for the black vehicles) and chrome wheels (for the white vehicles).
The classic 'deep draw' hood, unique rear and front fascias and Shelby badge all make the anniversary editions a classic beauty to behold. The GT500 (a.k.a. Super Snake) gets another set of upgrades too: leather shifter, perforated seat insets and painted rear quarter window plates amongst others.
Engines
One thing that Shelby didn't upgrade for the special anniversary edition are the engines. The GTS and GT350s already generate up to 624 HP depending on the chosen version and the Super Snake can deliver 720 HP through its V8 engine.
However, many additional upgrades are available including superchargers that will boost the performance but the 2012 Shelby GT 50th Anniversary Edition vehicles are all built to perform extremely well as they are.
